June 2007

On June 5, we went to a MonaVie open meeting in Dallas, where we met the Dallas team and presenter Megan Wolfenden. We first heard about Megan through Jean, who we met in April at the mini-Maui event. Megan is a successful business woman who happens to be very nice as well. We chatted a bit about our mutual experience working in Silicon Valley and our journey to financial freedom. She shared with us that her husband was about to leave his senior management job (after 11 years of employment) due to her success with the MonaVie business – she was able to replace his income after only 9 months in the business. She had also started a wave of senior employees leaving the same department where she used to work!

On June 2, we went to our first “meetup” to play the Cashflow board game with a group of people. It had been awhile since David and I played as a team and we were the first to get out of the “rat race” – so not too embarrassing :-) We also felt fortunate since we were among the very few people there who truly have financial freedom. Incidentally, we’re thankful that our friend Michelle introduced us to www.meetup.com – it’s proven to be such a great tool for meeting like-minded people!
